Order Fulfillment

All orders are usually shipped within 1-2 working days via FedEx or USPS, Monday through Thursday (excluding holidays). Please allow up to 3 business days during sale or promotions for your order to dispatch. Orders placed after 4 pm on Thursday will be shipped out Monday the following week. Availability of products is not guaranteed. Signature is always required. Please contact us if you require an expedited package and we will do our best to accommodate you. Once your transaction is complete you will receive an email from us with your tracking number. Orders are processed and shipped from New York, NY. If you have ordered an item that is not available or that is delayed, we will notify you via email or telephone. We charge no additional handling fees. We want you to be happy with your purchasing experience and never charge your card until we have shipped your order perfectly. We reserve the right, without prior notice, to limit the order quantity on any product or service and/or to refuse service to any customer.

US Rates and Services

All orders ship from New York City. Transit times are estimates once the package is en route and may vary depending on proximity to NYC. For guaranteed delivery times, choose FedEx 2Day or Overnight service.

 

Shipping costs are non-refundable, and INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DUTIES/TAXES THAT MAY APPLY.

In-Store Pickup

Assembly offers our local customers an in-store pickup option. This option is only available at our New York location. Select In-Store Pickup at checkout and our service team will email you once your order is ready for pickup. Please specify in the order notes if you wish to receive a phone call. Please be ready to show your order confirmation as well as ID at pickup. Orders will only be held for 5 business days before being returned.

Online Return Policy

10 Day Return Policy:

We are glad to refund/exchange any full-price, unworn, unwashed merchandise within 10 days of receipt of your online purchase. All items returned for an exchange or refund must be unworn and have any original tags or packaging. After 10 days, all sales are FINAL. No price adjustments. All sales final on sale merchandise, private sales, hats, eyewear, markdowns, jewelry, swimwear, watches, lingerie, vintage, books, gift certificates, and fragrances. Thanks for understanding.

Return Authorization:

If you wish return or exchange any items from your order, please email shop@assemblynewyork.com for a Return Authorization code. We cannot issue refunds or exchanges for items returned without this code.

You are responsible for any return shipping costs. Assembly is not responsible for return shipping costs nor duty reimbursement in the case of international purchases.

We will process your return as soon as possible but please allow up to 14 days for your refund to be processed and up to two billing cycles for the return to appear on your credit card statement.

We reserve the right to deny refunds if merchandise returned does not meet our return policy requirements.

 

Brick and Mortar Store Return Policy

7 Day Return Policy:

Merchandise in saleable condition with all original tags attached may be exchanged for size or store credit within 7 days of purchase when accompanied by the original sales receipt. No refunds or price adjustments. All sale merchandise, pre-orders, personal orders, markdown items, jewelry, hats, watches, swimwear, lingerie, books, fragrances, and gift certificates are final sale.

Assembly retains the right to deny exchange or store credit if merchandise purchased does not meet the return policy requirements.

Returns for International Orders

We do not offer returns or exchanges for international orders. International orders are orders shipped to countries other than the US.

 

Shipping Disclaimer

Service Delays

Assembly is not responsible for unexpected shipping delays caused by circumstances such as severe weather or natural disasters. Similarly, we are not responsible for unexpected shipping delays caused by circumstances related to the courier itself, such as clearance delays. In cases such as these, please directly contact your courier with any inquiries about the status of your package: FedEx at 1 (800) 463-3339 and USPS at 1 (800) 275-8777.

Failed Deliveries, Returned Packages & Lost Packages.

In the case that FedEx or USPS is unable to deliver a package due to an incorrect address entered by the customer, the customer’s refusal to pay duties, multiple failed attempts to reach the customer at point of delivery, or otherwise, Assembly is not responsible for payment of return shipping costs levied by the courier. Similarly, Assembly is not responsible for the payment of re-shipping merchandise to the customer. In cases such as these, the customer is responsible for all shipping costs associated with returned packages due to failed delivery. In the event that the incorrect address is entered at checkout, Assembly is not responsible for the replacement or cost of the products. Please ensure your shipping address is correct before you submit your order. In the event that your order is lost by the carrier, Assembly can only refund or replace your order if a successful claim is filed with the respective carrier. We are not responsible for any FedEx or USPS losses. 

Taxes and International Sales

Please understand that Assembly cannot be held responsible for delays occurring due to shipping provider, misstatement of your shipping address, damages that occur during shipment and the final destination’s customs. If client is shipping to a destination outside the US, on top of Assembly's shipping cost, tax, customs and import duties will be levied by the client’s local government. All additional taxes and fees are the responsibility of the client. This can range from 20% to 40% of the order value. Residents of New York will receive a 8.875% sales tax on their purchase. Sales tax is not charged on the purchase of gift cards.

 

Sale and Promotional Periods

Sale prices and promotions will only be applied to orders placed after the sale has been announced. Orders placed before the first day of any sale will not receive price adjustments. We're sorry for any inconvenience.
